The United Auto Workers (UAW) union said it is expanding its strike to include a major Ford truck plant in Louisville, Kentucky. The strike began in mid-September at GM facilities across the nation, and is now spreading to Union-represented workers at the Ford Kentucky Truck Plant, which produces the Ford F-150 and Super Duty trucks. The union said it is continuing to urge Ford to negotiate in good faith and reach an agreement that meets the needs of its members. The UAW is looking for job security, higher wages and better benefits for workers.
