The woman, whose name was not released for safety reasons, told a D.C. synagogue that she had attended the Hamas festival in the Gaza Strip and escaped the attack unscathed. She said that she had heard several loud explosions and then saw smoke and panic as people ran for their lives. She said that after she ran for cover and hid, she was able to reach her family who had already fled the area. She said that her faith had gotten her through the attack and that she was thankful for her safety.
