Vice President Joe Biden issued a cryptic warning to Iran following the US government’s announcement that there is no evidence the country was involved in a Hamas attack against Israel earlier this week.
When asked by reporters if he had a message for Iran, Biden replied: “Be careful.”
The United States and Israel both accused Iran of being behind the attack, but both governments have now said that there is no evidence to support that claim.
Although Biden did not provide any further details about his warning, his words were a reminder to Iran that the United States will take any threat to its allies seriously. The US is an ally of Israel and has imposed tough sanctions on Iran over its nuclear program.
