According to a report from the Las Vegas Review-Journal, MGM Resorts International was the victim of a cyberattack in February 2020, and the company estimates the cost of the attack to have been approximately $100 million. The cyberattack was conducted by hackers who obtained stolen information from the MGM Grand Las Vegas, Bellagio, MGM Springfield, and Aquarius Casino Resorts. The stolen information consisted of customer and employee records, credit card information, Social Security numbers, names, addresses, phone numbers, and more. The company is now offering one-year complimentary identity protection and credit monitoring services to those affected by the incident.
